Best Kitchen Sink Brands You Gotta Buy

With so many brands in the kitchen sink market to choose from, it can be difficult to know that you’re buying from a brand that is both reliable and has great quality sinks. We reviewed over 50 different kitchen sink brands and chose the best kitchen sink brand for each sink material – here are our favourites.

Stainless steel

Stainless steel is probably the most common type of material for kitchen sinks as they are durable and very affordable. Many big household brands including Zuhne, Ruvati, Kraus, Kohler and Kindred compete in this space with large assortments and variations that cater to your every need.

With most of the brands having decades of experience under their belt, it was a difficult decision but we decided to go with Zuhne as our favourite brand for stainless steel kitchen sinks.

In purchasing a stainless steel sink, quality, functionality and value-for-money are the 3 most important qualities to look out for. Zuhne checks all these boxes as many of its products uses surgical grade lead-free 16-gauge T304 18/10 stainless steel, which has great thickness and top-quality finish to resist rust and hold polish well. Their sinks also include noise insulating capabilities, muting not only the sink but also the garbage disposal.

We particularly love the ZUHNE Modena 30 Inch Single Bowl, which has received many great reviews for it’s high-quality and competitive pricing.

Post-sale support was also an important consideration for us. Zuhne purchases come with a lifetime warranty and free returns, as well as an online live support for any queries you may have. We like assurance that Zuhne provides to customers even after the sale.

Workstation Sink

We wanted to include an honorary mention for stainless steel workstation kitchen sinks.

All about functionality and space maximisation, Ruvati is our winner when it comes to kitchen efficiency. We love the Ruvati Workstation series, which comes with a solid wood cutting board, stainless steel colander and a dish drying roll-up rack that fits well into the sink. These sit on a groove that lets you slide the accessories so you can put used pots and pans in your sink while you prepare your ingredients.

We love that the workstation comes in 3 variations – drop-in sink, undermount and farmhouse sink – with all the same accessories throughout. They also come in single and double bowl options, which is an added benefit for users who want to stay super organised.

For the quality of the product and great reviews by thousands of users who have purchased and used this product, Ruvati wins our spot as the best stainless steel workstation sink.

Copper

Copper sinks are becoming popular choices among homeowners with its unique look from its natural patina. Some important considerations we had while reviewing the brands was the quality of copper used, available assortment of products and level of expertise in manufacturing copper kitchen sinks. Copper sinks are relatively uncommon to other materials, so we wanted to make sure that the brand provided all the support and expertise in that area unlike any other.

We compared top brands that specialise in copper kitchen sinks including Rockwell, Sinkology, Premium Copper Products and Bacera. Ultimately, we decided that our favourite brand is Sinkology.

Among all the brands, Sinkology has the largest assortment of copper kitchen sinks for all types of mounts, although the most popular product is their farmhouse sink. We particularly love their Adams farmhouse series, which is made of commercial grade 16 gauge pure solid copper.

Copper sinks can be challenging to maintain, but the company has many useful tips and tricks provided in their blog. They also sell copper cleaning and care accessories which you know will work well with their sinks as they are from the same company.

Most of their sinks have a hammered finishing which gives a nice textured look to the kitchen piece and requires less maintenance to a polished finishing.

When we compared the price points to other brands, we find that they are reasonably priced to other brands both online and retail. All their sinks are handcrafted and hand-hammered by artisans, so while they are not the cheapest, they have a personal touch to it.

Fireclay

Farmhouse kitchen sinks come to mind when thinking of fireclay kitchen sinks, with the distinctive protrusion over the kitchen counter. We were looking for a brand that had a selection of fireclay sinks that looked sturdy and high quality, while having strong design elements that help the sink stand out in the kitchen. At the same time, installing fireclay sinks can be challenging so we looked out for companies who gave strong customer support.

We compared across popular brands such as Barclay, Kraus, KES, Houzer and Latoscana, many of whom have been very successful in establishing themselves as reliable brands. Ultimately, Houzer is our top choice by a narrow margin for fireclay kitchen sinks.

Houzer has been in the kitchen sink industry for over 3 decades, incorporating modern manufacturing techniques into the mainstay fireclay sink. We find one of the most impressive points of their sinks is the glaze that they fuse together with the fireclay, giving it a nice reflective finish that really helps bring focus to the sink.

Quality-wise, many users find that the sink is strong and sturdy, though there were some complaints of microchips over the sink after prolonged use. We did our research across the other brands that also offer fireclay and found that this was common for the type of material across all brands, so it was not a big drawback.

All-in-all, if you’re looking for a fireclay kitchen sink, we would recommend looking at Houzer but consider other top-selling collections.

In particular, we would recommend KES cUPC Fireclay Sink Farmhouse Kitchen Porcelain Sink and the Latoscana 33″ Reversible Fireclay Farmhouse Sink LFS3318W which are great product choices. While the brands are less reputable than Houzer, we love the quality of the product and feedback from past purchasers have been strong.

Composite Granite

Composite granite sinks are the next most popular material of choice after stainless steel. For this category, we looked out for variety of composite granite sinks offered by each brand, durability of the sink and reliability of the brand.

We compared the major brands that specialise and manufacture granite/composite granite sinks including Franke, Blanco, Kraus and Winpro. For this category, Blanco was a clear winner for us.

Blanco has a history of 85 years in Germany and established itself in the United States for over 25 years. This has allowed them to develop state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities, which is crucial in composite granite sinks which requires a high level of expertise.

In terms of assortment, Blanco easily has the largest variation in the market, with their signature Blanco Silgranite sinks offered in 9 different colours and sizes. Various mounting types, single and double bowls as well as shapes (straight or curved edges) were also options users could choose from. This makes it easy to choose a sink that is perfect for your kitchen setup.

We scoured through the internet and found that past Blanco customers are very satisfied with the quality of the product. While the sinks are not the cheapest, it can be a worthwhile investment given the high quality and durability of the product.

Conclusion
